One Piece

Started in 1997, the One Piece franchise has come a long way. One Piece is about the Straw Hat Pirate crew that includes Luffy, Nico Robin, Sanji, Nami, Roronoa Zoro and many more including humans and fantasy characters alike. Listed as the best-selling manga of all time, they have sold over 490 million copies with each of the 100 volumes selling at least one million copies. This makes Eiichiro Oda a best-selling author and its definitely well deserved.

Oda has stated that Dragon Ball was one of the inspirations behind the series and we can only imagine how excited he was to have the Cross Epoch with Akira Toriyama! Naruto writer, Masashi Kishimoto, was seen as a rival of Oda but the both of them had nothing but respect for each other and Kishimoto even included the One Piece logo in his final Naruto volume.

100 manga volumes and counting, 14 movies, video games, novels, a theme park (unfortunately permanently closed due to the pandemic), an anime series and a live action series in the making, the One Piece franchise shows no signs of slowing down and with its huge fanbase around the world and we cannot wait to see what they have prepared next!
